Hikashu reveals plans to release an album this year.
Last month they went into studio, Eastside Sound of NYC, and recorded an album with the band's right-hand man, engineer Marc Urselli.
They prepared ten compositions for the session, and recorded seven. It has some additional musicians including the band's long-time friend and collaborator, Ikue Mori.

The album is now tentatively called "Anguri" - not Angry, mind you. It's a Japanese word, means "stunned," "aghast," or "open-mouthed." Whatever, with all it implies a lot of surprise.
Makigami said it will be released in late October this year. Hold your breath and you'll get a good thing. That's for sure.
